Best Pickleball Paddle Bags: 8 Picks Compared

22 min read

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Our disclosure policy.

The short answer

Take the ADV Pickleball Backpack V2 if you carry three paddles or more and want them in a sleeve of their own, the Franklin Parker Paddle Bag for a compact bag with two paddle pockets, and the KAVIGOR Pickleball Sling Bag if you want a sling whose listing says it fits four paddles.

Our verdict

Top Picks

A paddle bag can be a tote with one outside pocket for a paddle, a small sling with room for two, or a backpack with a sleeve for three. The makers count paddles in different ways, and several leave out the dimensions or the fabric. This guide compares eight bags you can buy on Amazon today. Each one names a paddle pocket, sleeve or compartment on its maker’s page or its maker’s Amazon listing, and each is compared on how many paddles the maker says it takes, where they go and what else the bag carries.

Three things shape the list. Every pick names the exact listing the link opens, so you know which colour it is. Every figure comes from the maker or from a named reviewer, with “not published” where we found none, and where sources disagree we print both. And every pick is sold new on Amazon: four by Amazon.com itself, three by a seller named like the brand and one by a sporting-goods retailer, which we name in its review.

“Paddle capacity” is the count the maker states, with “listing” where it comes only from the maker’s Amazon listing; reviewers’ own counts are marked. “Size” is the maker’s dimensions, or “listing” where the maker’s page gives none; the weight fields in Amazon’s listings are not used, because they often give the shipping weight rather than the product’s. The “Linked model” column is the exact listing each button opens. The table does not compare bags on price.

How These Bags Were Chosen

How this guide was built

from the makers’ pages and listings, published reviews from two sites (Pickleheads and Pickleball Effect) and owner comments on r/Pickleball; we have not tested these products ourselves.

What we compared

  • Paddle capacity as the maker states it: a count where one is printed, “listing” where only the maker’s Amazon listing gives it. We never work a count out from the dimensions.
  • Where the paddles go: a sleeve, a pocket, a compartment of its own or the shared main compartment, as each maker describes it.
  • Dimensions and material as the maker lists them; where the maker’s page gives none, the figure comes from the maker’s own Amazon listing and is labelled “listing”.
  • Carry style: backpack, sling or tote.
  • Where the listing sits on Amazon: every pick is new and in stock as of 21 October 2026, sold by Amazon.com (JOOLA, Franklin Parker, Franklin Flex and GAMMA), by a seller named like the brand (CRBN Pickleball, ADV Pro and KAVIGOR) or, for Diadem, by the retailer Great Call Athletics.
Sources, what owners report and bags we left out

Sources

Specifications come from ADV’s Pickleball Backpack V2 page, CRBN’s Pro Backpack page, Diadem’s Tour v3 Backpack page, JOOLA’s Everyday Sling Bag page and GAMMA’s Tour Tote page. Franklin’s site blocks our automated readers and KAVIGOR’s site did not open for us, so the Franklin Flex, Franklin Parker and KAVIGOR figures come from their Amazon listings, labelled “listing”, plus the Franklin product list read through a text reader. Reviews come from Pickleball Effect, which says its reviews are independent and whose page carries discount codes for the brands it covers, and Pickleheads. Where a review covers a different bag from the one linked, the review says so.

What owners report

In a May 2025 r/Pickleball thread titled “Best Pickleball Bag”, the original poster normally carries 2-3 paddles and 4 balls and does not want a tournament-size bag. The highest-scored comment says: “I just have a big backpack. I can fit 4 paddles, 6 balls, a thermos on the side, glasses, etc. I dont see a need to pay big money for a name brand.” A commenter who carries 2 paddles, 3 at the most, says of the ADV V2: “the V2 was nice but there were a lot of just random features that aren’t really usable.” These are single comments, not a survey.

Bags we left out

Some bags that state a paddle compartment are not here. The ONIX Pro Team Backpack, which ONIX describes with a padded paddle compartment, was out of stock on the Amazon listing we found. The JOOLA Essentials Sling Bag and Paddle Case, which JOOLA’s page says fits two paddles, was listed above JOOLA’s own price when we checked. The WILSON Super Tour’s listing says it holds up to three paddles, but its Amazon buy box was held by a seller we had not vetted and the Wilson page we could open covers a different colour. The Franklin Deluxe Competition Pickleball Backpack, which Pickleheads reviewed, is not on Franklin’s own site (a search there finds no model 52862X), so we could not check its Amazon price against a Franklin list price.

ADV Backpack V2

Maker 3 plus up to 4 more

Players who carry three paddles or more and want a sleeve for them, plus a shoe pocket, a cooler and a laptop compartment in the same backpack.

$249.95 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A backpack with a protective back compartment ADV says carries three paddles, plus space it says takes up to four more in the main compartment. Pickleball Effect’s roundup headline for it is “ADV Pickleball Backpack V2 – The Best Large Bag”, and Matt’s Pickleball‘s heading is “Best bag for a pickleball trip: ADV Pickleball Backpack V2” (read through a text reader; the site blocks automated readers).

Evidence: Independently reviewed, exact model. Pickleball Effect: ADV Pickleball Backpack V2, colour not stated.

Pickleball Effect writes: “You can comfortably fit three paddles in the dedicated paddle sleeve. You can even fit a couple of more paddles behind the shoes in the main compartment if you wanted to.” ADV’s page says: “Carry 3 paddles securely in a protective compartment that shields the faces, plus space for up to 4 more in the main compartment.” The counts differ by source: the capacity chart on the same ADV page reads “37L: 3 Tennis Racquets, 6 Paddles”, Amazon’s title says “Holds 3 racquets or 7 paddles” and one of its bullets says “up to 3 racquets or paddles”. ADV’s page gives the size as 21 in long, 12 in wide and 9 in deep, 37 L and 3.6 lb, with a 20 L main compartment; Pickleball Effect’s 12 in W x 21 in H x 9 in D (37 L) agrees with it, while Amazon’s fields say 13.8 x 22.5 x 5.9 in and 15 L. A commenter in the r/Pickleball thread found “a lot of just random features that aren’t really usable”; that is one comment. The reviewer’s page does not name a colour.

The linked listing is the Midnight colour, sold by a seller named ADV Pro and shipped by Amazon; ADV’s page does not mention an Amazon storefront, so we did not confirm the seller is ADV’s own, though ADV’s about page says its founders built the “ADV Pro Bag”, which fits the storefront’s name. ADV’s site sells the same Midnight SKU on its Tennis, Padel and Pickleball Backpack V2 pages, and Amazon’s listing is titled for tennis and pickleball.

Specs (Pickleball Backpack V2, Midnight, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: 3 in a protective back compartment plus up to 4 more in the main compartment (maker); 6 paddles (ADV’s capacity chart); Amazon title 7 paddles, Amazon bullet up to 3
  • Compartments: 3-paddle back compartment, main compartment, built-in cooler, laptop compartment, pockets for toiletries, dirty clothes and shoes, secret pocket (maker)
  • Dimensions: 21 in L x 12 in W x 9 in D, 37 L, 3.6 lb (maker); 12 W x 21 H x 9 D in, 37 L (Pickleball Effect, agrees); 13.8 x 22.5 x 5.9 in, 15 L (Amazon fields)
  • Material: 500D Kodra nylon outer shell with PU coating, 200D polyester lining, YKK zippers (maker); Amazon’s listing says Kodra nylon with a tarpaulin bottom
  • Warranty: 10 years (maker)

Pros

  • Three paddle sleeves in a face-shielding back compartment, by ADV’s description
  • Built-in cooler, laptop compartment and a separate shoe pocket
  • Pickleball Effect fit three paddles in the sleeve and a couple more behind the shoes

Cons

  • ADV’s own page gives 3 plus up to 4 more and, in its chart, 6; Amazon’s title 7 and a bullet 3
  • Amazon’s size and volume fields disagree with ADV’s page
  • One commenter found some features unusable

Players who carry up to three paddles and want a shoe compartment, ball pocket and luggage sleeve in one backpack.

$149.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A backpack with a back compartment CRBN says fits up to three paddles comfortably, a shoe compartment on the bottom and a side pocket for three balls. We found no test of this 2.0 bag; Pickleheads reviewed CRBN’s earlier Pro Team Backpack.

Evidence: Independently reviewed, previous generation. Pickleheads: CRBN Pro Team Backpack, the earlier model (21.5 x 12.5 x 8 in); we link the 2.0 Pro Backpack.

CRBN’s page says: “The back paddle compartment fits up to three paddles comfortably and keeps them protected and organized.” It lists dual metal fence hooks, a trolley sleeve for luggage handles, a felt-lined sunglasses pocket and a magnetic ball pocket that “holds up to three balls”. Pickleheads writes: “The CRBN Pro Team Backpack is the perfect travel companion for any serious pickleball player, I think.” That is the earlier model: Pickleheads gives it as 21.5 x 12.5 x 8 in and 3.5 lb, with “Paddle Space” 3, and notes it was sold out at CRBN and Pickleball Central as of September 29, 2026. The 2.0 on CRBN’s page is 19 x 12.5 x 7.5 in and 3.2 lb. CRBN gives no volume; Amazon’s listing says 30 liters.

The linked listing is the Black colour, sold by CRBN Pickleball’s Amazon storefront and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (Pro Backpack 2.0, Black, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: up to 3 in the back compartment (maker)
  • Compartments: back paddle compartment, main compartment opening from the top or front, side magnetic ball pocket, bottom shoe compartment, felt-lined sunglasses pocket, internal valuables pocket (maker)
  • Dimensions: 19 in H x 12.5 in W x 7.5 in D; 3.2 lb (maker); volume not published, Amazon listing 30 L
  • Material: polyester upper, water-resistant tarpaulin lower (maker)
  • Extras: dual metal fence hooks, trolley sleeve (maker)

Pros

  • A back compartment the maker says fits three paddles comfortably
  • Separate bottom shoe compartment and a side pocket for three balls
  • Fence hooks and a trolley sleeve for travel days

Cons

  • No test of this 2.0 bag; the review we found covers the earlier model
  • Three paddles is the stated capacity, with no extra main-compartment count
  • Volume is not published by CRBN

Diadem Tour v3

Maker up to 3 rackets or paddles

Players who also carry tennis rackets and want one three-item backpack with a shoe compartment.

$84.95 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A backpack from a tennis maker that Diadem says holds up to three tennis rackets or three pickleball paddles, with two main compartments separated by dividers and an external shoe compartment under the bag. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: Diadem’s product page.

Diadem’s page says the bag “can hold up to three tennis rackets or 3 pickleball paddles and all your extra gear for a day on court.” It adds that the “two main compartments have multiple interior pockets separated by neoprene” and that “an external shoe compartment underneath the bag” suits shoes or sweaty clothes. Diadem gives the size as H 18 x W 13 x D 8 in; Amazon’s dimension field reads 18 x 13 x 18 in and files the bag under tennis. Diadem does not name the fabric; Amazon’s title says “Nylon, Reinforced Bottom”.

The linked listing is the Black colour, sold by the retailer Great Call Athletics and shipped by Amazon. Great Call Athletics’ own site describes a sporting-goods store with an address in Holbrook, New York; we found no Diadem dealer list on Diadem’s pages, so we did not confirm a dealer relationship.

Specs (Tour v3 Backpack, Black, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: up to 3 tennis rackets or pickleball paddles (maker)
  • Compartments: 2 main compartments with neoprene dividers, external accessory pockets, water bottle pocket, external shoe compartment under the bag (maker)
  • Dimensions: H 18 in x W 13 in x D 8 in (maker); Amazon field 18 x 13 x 18 in
  • Material: not published by Diadem; “Nylon, Reinforced Bottom” (Amazon title)

Pros

  • Maker states the same three-item capacity for tennis rackets and pickleball paddles
  • Two main compartments with dividers and a separate shoe compartment
  • Padded, adjustable backpack straps and padded grab handles, by Diadem’s list

Cons

  • Fabric not named by Diadem
  • Sold by a third-party retailer on Amazon, not by Diadem
  • Amazon’s depth figure disagrees with Diadem’s

Listing 3

Players who carry up to three paddles to work or on a trip and want a laptop sleeve and luggage strap on the same bag.

$74.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A backpack whose Amazon listing describes three accordion-style paddle pockets, a laptop sleeve, oversized bottle compartments and a luggage strap. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: Amazon listing.

The listing says: “Utilize our 3 accordion style paddle pockets to keep your pickleball paddles safe from scuffs and scratches. Utilize for a laptop or notebook if you are taking on the go too!” Franklin’s own page blocks our automated readers, so the figures here come from that listing, and the Franklin product list read through a text reader gives the name “Flex Pickleball Bag”. The listing’s fields give a capacity of 3 and polyester, and no dimensions that we could read.

The linked listing is model 59280, sold by Amazon.com. Its title says Pink and “for Women”; it is a single listing with no colour options.

Specs (Flex Pickleball Backpack, model 59280, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: 3 accordion paddle pockets (listing)
  • Compartments: 3 paddle pockets, laptop sleeve, oversized bottle compartments, luggage strap, padded shoulder straps (listing)
  • Dimensions: not published in the sources we could read
  • Material: polyester (listing)

Pros

  • Three separate accordion pockets for paddles, by the listing
  • Laptop sleeve and a luggage strap for travel
  • Oversized bottle compartments on both sides

Cons

  • Everything here rests on the Amazon listing; Franklin’s page was not readable
  • No size, shoe compartment or fence hook stated in the listing text

Listing 4

Players who want a light sling that the listing says takes up to four paddles and who are comfortable with a listing as the only source.

$22.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A sling whose listing says the main compartment fits four paddles and eight balls, with a wet/dry chamber at the back and a convertible strap. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: Amazon listing.

The listing’s title says “Fits 4 Paddles + Gear”, and a bullet says: “main compartment fits 4 paddles and 8 balls with zippered valuables layer; isolated wet/dry back chamber for clothes/towels.” It also lists six pockets, a convertible carry that turns the sling into a backpack, a weight of 0.82 lb and a 2-year protection plan. KAVIGOR’s own site did not open for us, so this listing is the only maker source; it gives no dimensions and describes the fabric as apparel-grade without naming it.

The linked listing is the Classic Black colour in the Large size, sold by a seller named KAVIGOR and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (Sling Bag, Large, Classic Black, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: 4 paddles and 8 balls in the main compartment (listing)
  • Compartments: main compartment, front quick-access pocket, two side mesh pockets, wet/dry back chamber, valuables layer (listing)
  • Dimensions: not published
  • Material: not published; “apparel-grade material” (listing); weight 0.82 lb (listing)
  • Carry: convertible between sling and backpack mode (listing)

Pros

  • Listing says the main compartment fits four paddles and eight balls
  • Convertible between sling and backpack carry
  • Separate wet/dry chamber for clothes or a towel

Cons

  • The listing is the only source; no maker page, size or fabric name
  • Paddles share the main compartment; the listing names no sleeve
  • No test of it that we could check

Listing 2

Players who carry one or two paddles and want a compact bag that works as a backpack or a tote.

$59.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A bag that converts between backpack and top-handle tote with two interior paddle pockets and a zip-in mesh divider. Franklin’s product list calls it a bag for “compact paddle-focused storage for lighter travel”. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: Amazon listing.

The listing says: “Two interior paddle pockets were designed to keep your paddles safe from scratches and scuffs from your other gear.” It adds: “Zip the inner mesh divider to have two storage compartments in order to keep clothes and other accessories separate from your playing equipment.” Franklin’s own page blocks our readers, so the figures come from the listing and Franklin’s product list; the listing’s fields give a capacity of 2 and polyester, and we found no dimensions.

The linked listing is model 59352, sold by Amazon.com. Its title says Vanilla and its colour field says Pink; the model number is the Parker’s.

Specs (Parker Paddle Bag Backpack + Tote, model 59352, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: 2 interior paddle pockets (listing)
  • Compartments: 2 paddle pockets, mesh divider forming two storage compartments, lined front valuables pocket (listing)
  • Dimensions: not published in the sources we could read
  • Material: polyester (listing)
  • Carry: backpack straps or top-handle tote (listing)

Pros

  • Two interior paddle pockets with a divider that keeps clothes apart
  • Carries as a backpack or as a tote
  • Padded shoulder straps, by the listing

Cons

  • Two paddles is the stated capacity
  • No shoe compartment or fence hook in the listing text
  • Title and colour field disagree on the colour

JOOLA Everyday Sling

Maker 2

Players who carry two paddles and want a small sling with a bottle pocket and a carabiner to hang it courtside.

$44.95 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 00:43 UTC

Verdict

A small sling that JOOLA’s page says has “room for two paddles”, with a water bottle pocket and a carabiner for hanging it at the court. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: JOOLA’s product page.

JOOLA’s page says the bag “features room for two paddles, plenty of pickleballs, and key details, including a dedicated water bottle pocket and a hideaway carabiner to hang it courtside” and gives the size as 11.8 x 5.5 x 17.7 in. JOOLA does not say whether the paddles go in a sleeve or a compartment of their own. The Amazon listing’s title agrees on the count (“holds 2 Paddles”), but its bullets describe a larger convertible bag, with two compartments of two paddles each, 15 x 22 x 10 in and a duffle carry, that does not match JOOLA’s page for this sling, so we do not use them.

The linked listing is Gravity Gray (model 600045), sold by Amazon.com.

Specs (Everyday Sling Bag, Gravity Gray, the linked listing)

  • Paddle capacity: room for two paddles (maker)
  • Compartments: paddle compartment not published; dedicated water bottle pocket, hideaway carabiner (maker)
  • Dimensions: 11.8 x 5.5 x 17.7 in (maker)
  • Material: not published
  • Carry: sling (maker)

Pros

  • A dedicated water bottle pocket, by JOOLA’s page
  • A hideaway carabiner to hang it courtside
  • JOOLA’s page and the listing title both say two paddles

Cons

  • JOOLA does not say how the paddles are held
  • The listing’s bullets describe a different, larger bag, so only JOOLA’s page is used
  • No fabric named by JOOLA, and no test of it that we could check

Verdict

A tote with a zippered outer compartment that GAMMA says holds one paddle, plus a main compartment and two side pockets. We found no test of it that we could check.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: GAMMA’s product page.

GAMMA’s page says the tote “has a zippered outer compartment that holds one pickleball paddle and keeps it easily accessible”, with a “large main compartment”, a small zippered pocket and “two exterior side pockets for water bottles and balls”, in “Durable 100% polyester construction.” GAMMA’s page does not give dimensions; the Amazon listing says the tote measures 13 in H x 14 in W x 6 in D.

The linked listing is sold by Amazon.com. Amazon’s title and model number (STBTB10) say Black, which is GAMMA’s SKU for the Black tote; the listing’s colour field says White.

Specs (Tour Tote Bag, Black, STBTB10, the linked listing)

What to Look For in a Pickleball Paddle Bag

Paddle capacity, as the maker counts it. ADV says three in a sleeve plus up to four more, and the capacity chart on the same page says six; CRBN and Diadem say three; JOOLA’s page says two; GAMMA says one. The Franklin and KAVIGOR counts, 3, 2 and 4, come from their listings. Reviewers count differently from makers: Pickleball Effect fit three paddles in the ADV’s sleeve and a couple more behind the shoes, while Amazon’s title for the ADV says seven and one of its bullets three. Read a maker’s count as what the bag is described as taking.

Where the paddle goes. The picks describe four arrangements: a sleeve or compartment of its own (ADV, CRBN, Diadem, Franklin Flex and Parker), a shared main compartment (KAVIGOR), a sling whose maker names no paddle compartment (JOOLA) and a single outer compartment on a tote (GAMMA). Pickleheads says paddle covers are typically smaller and lighter than bags and don’t offer as much protection as a bag, in its guide to paddle covers.

Shoes and extras. A separate shoe compartment or pocket appears in the maker text for the ADV, CRBN and Diadem bags. If you also want to know what goes in it, our guide to pickleball shoes covers them; for the balls, see our pickleball balls guide.

Carry style. Backpacks suit three paddles and more, slings carry fewer, and a tote sits between. For what to wear to the courts, see our guide on what to wear for pickleball.

What goes in the bag. If you are still choosing the paddles, our pickleball paddle comparison and our guide to budget pickleball paddles cover them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Which pickleball paddle bag should I buy?

Start with how many paddles you carry. For three or more in a sleeve of their own, see reviews 1 to 3; for a bag with a laptop sleeve and a luggage strap, review 4; for a sling, reviews 5 and 7; for one or two paddles in a compact bag or tote, reviews 6 and 8. The table above lists each bag’s capacity, compartment, size and material.

Q. How many paddles does each bag hold?

ADV states three in a sleeve plus up to four more in the main compartment, and the capacity chart on its page says six, while Amazon’s title for it says seven and one Amazon bullet says three. CRBN and Diadem state three. The Franklin Flex listing says three, the KAVIGOR listing four, the Franklin Parker listing two, JOOLA’s page two and GAMMA’s page one.

Q. Is a paddle cover enough, or do I need a bag?

Pickleheads says covers are typically smaller and lighter than bags and don’t offer as much protection as a bag, and that a cover suits someone who wants to protect a paddle and nothing else. A bag also carries balls, a bottle and clothes, which is what the picks here are compared on. For covers compared on their own, see our guide to pickleball paddle covers.

Q. Is there a bag for four paddles?

The KAVIGOR listing says its main compartment fits four paddles and eight balls, and ADV says three paddles in a sleeve plus up to four more in its main compartment, with six in the capacity chart on the same page. These are the maker’s or listing’s statements; we found no test of either count.

Q. Do I need a shoe compartment?

It is a preference, not a requirement. The ADV, CRBN and Diadem bags list a shoe pocket or compartment in the maker’s text; the others here do not list one.

Q. Can I just use an ordinary backpack?

Some owners do. The highest-scored comment in the r/Pickleball bag thread says a big ordinary backpack fits 4 paddles, 6 balls and more, and that they “dont see a need to pay big money for a name brand.” A paddle bag adds sleeves or pockets for the paddles, which is what the picks here are compared on. Our guide to pickleball bags covers duffles, backpacks and slings.

The bottom line

Final Verdict

If you carry three paddles or more, the ADV Pickleball Backpack V2 (check price) states three paddles in a sleeve plus up to four more on ADV’s page, with Pickleball Effect’s review behind it; the CRBN Pro Backpack 2.0 (check price) and the Diadem Tour v3 Backpack (check price) state three, and the Franklin Flex (check price) lists three pockets. For a sling, the KAVIGOR (check price) listing says four paddles and JOOLA’s page gives the JOOLA Everyday Sling (check price) room for two. For one or two paddles, the Franklin Parker Paddle Bag (check price) has two interior pockets and the GAMMA Tour Tote (check price) one outer compartment. Most of these rest on the maker’s page or listing alone, so check the stated paddle count against what you carry before you buy.
