Best Pickleball Paddle Cleaners: 8 Picks Compared

27 min read

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Our disclosure policy.

The short answer

Take the CRBN Paddle Eraser if your paddle has a raw carbon fiber face (Pickleheads calls it “the best paddle cleaner for carbon fiber paddles”), the Bear Naked Paddle Cleaner for a spray whose maker lists carbon fiber, Kevlar, graphite and fiberglass, and the BSG Paddle Cleaner with Towel if you want a spray and a microfiber towel in one listing.

Our verdict

Top Picks

A pickleball paddle cleaner takes ball residue and dirt off the hitting face. Three kinds are sold for it: rubber erasers (also sold as cleaning blocks), sprays you wipe off with a cloth, and kits that pair one of them with a microfiber cloth. This guide compares eight you can buy on Amazon today: three erasers or eraser kits (one kit with a microfiber cloth) and five sprays (one sold with a microfiber towel).

The question most players ask is which faces a cleaner suits, and the makers do not agree. So every pick here states the surfaces its own maker lists, word for word where we can, and where a paddle maker or a reviewer says something different we print both. Nothing here was tested by us, and no source we found tested every eraser on every paddle face.

“Surfaces the maker lists” is the maker’s own list, quoted in each review; it is the maker’s claim, not a test. “Size or volume” is the maker’s figure, or “listing” where only the brand’s Amazon listing gives it; the weight fields in Amazon’s listings are not used, because they often give the shipping weight. Lifestyle Basics links an ingredient disclosure (California Right to Know) and a safety data sheet from its product page; we found none for the other sprays. The “Linked model” column is the exact listing each button opens. The table does not compare cleaners on price.

How We Picked These Eight Cleaners

How this guide was built

from the makers’ pages and Amazon listings, one published roundup (Pickleheads), one measured eraser test (the Pickleball Studio newsletter) and owner comments on r/Pickleball; we have not tested these products ourselves.

How each cleaner was judged

  • Type: rubber eraser or cleaning block, spray, or a kit with a cloth.
  • The surfaces the maker lists, quoted, and any face the maker or a reviewer says to keep it off.
  • Size or volume as the maker lists it, labelled “listing” where only the brand’s Amazon listing gives it.
  • Material or formula only where the maker publishes it.
  • The seller and stock on Amazon on 22 October 2026, at or below the maker’s own price where the maker publishes one.
Pages and threads we read, what players say on r/Pickleball and cleaners we left out

Pages and threads we read

Specifications come from CRBN’s eraser page, Professor’s Carbon Cleaner page, Bear Naked’s 8 oz cleaner page, Lifestyle Basics’ cleaner page and PickleClean’s site, and from the brands’ own Amazon listings where a brand has no readable page of its own (BSG, CIATLLLAIT and Paddle Reset), labelled “listing”. The one published roundup we cite is Pickleheads’ accessories guide, whose page says “We independently review everything we recommend” and that it earns affiliate commissions; its CRBN eraser entry also carries a CRBN discount offer, “Save 10% at checkout with code PICKLEHEADS10”. It reviewed only the CRBN eraser of our eight. The Pickleball Studio newsletter reports a short eraser test on a raw carbon paddle; it does not name the eraser. The Dink has two articles that disagree: its eraser guide calls erasers “safe and effective”, and its paddle-care article argues against erasers and promotes the Bear Naked spray, and Bear Naked’s own site links to that article, so we do not count it as an independent review.

What players say on r/Pickleball

Owners disagree. In a January 2026 thread, “Pickleball paddle cleaning: eraser vs spray”, the opening post says erasers wear the face down over time; several replies say soft rubber does not, and one points to the Pickleball Studio test. One commenter who has used both a spray they call “paddle reset” and erasers says the erasers do most of the work; others use only a damp microfiber cloth. In a September 2025 thread, “Paddle Erasers?”, one commenter says Six Zero’s Kevlar paddles void the warranty if an eraser is used (we found no such line on Six Zero’s pages today; see below), and another says they were told not to use microfiber on a full carbon paddle. In a 2024 thread, “Is this necessary?”, several owners say they cut up a sanding-belt cleaning block instead of buying a paddle eraser. These are individual comments, not a survey.

Cleaners we left out

Some cleaners did not make the list. Franklin’s Paddle Magic eraser is on Amazon, but Franklin’s site refuses our readers, so we could not confirm the Amazon price sits at or below Franklin’s own price, and two retailers list it lower. The GAMMA cleaning block and the CORE Paddle Eraser are on Amazon above the price on their makers’ own sites. Six Zero’s Cleaning Rubber showed only a future availability date on Amazon. We did not find Selkirk’s, Onix’s or Engage’s erasers on Amazon. The many unbranded erasers we found have no maker page; we include an Amazon-only brand only where it covers something no maker-page pick does: the CIATLLLAIT kit (erasers with a microfiber cloth) and the BSG spray (sold with a towel).

Detailed Reviews

CRBN Paddle Eraser, Reviewed carbon eraser

CRBN Pickleball, Paddle Eraser, Patent Pending (Black, 1…

CRBN Eraser

Rubber eraser

Owners of a raw carbon fiber paddle who want the dry eraser Pickleheads picked for carbon paddles; owners of a Kevlar face should check their paddle maker's care words first.

$14.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

A rubber eraser that CRBN calls “Safe & Effective on All Carbon Fiber Faced Paddles”, and the one pick here that an independent reviewer links by this exact listing. On Kevlar faces, CRBN and that reviewer disagree.

Evidence: Independently reviewed, exact model. Pickleheads: CRBN Pickleball Paddle Eraser (its link opens ASIN B0BR2WDBGS, the Black 1-Pack we link).

CRBN’s page describes a “Proprietary blend of rubber designed to quickly remove ball residue, dirt, and minor scrapes/scratches.” It adds: “Our eraser can also be used on any other raw, peel ply surface including kevlar pickleball paddles or anything similar.” and “Remember, we don’t recommend using the CRBN Paddle Eraser on any paddle surfaces that have been customized with any sort of aftermarket coating, spray, paint, etc.” The page also says the eraser contains latex. CRBN’s Amazon listing claims it “Works far better than any liquid or towel cleaning solution”; that is CRBN’s claim, and the Paddle Reset listing (review 6) claims the opposite.

Pickleheads links this exact listing and writes: “This is the best paddle cleaner for carbon fiber paddles, easily removing residue and dirt.” Its reviewer says they use it to take off ball fibers, residue and dirt. Pickleheads also writes: “Note: this is designed specifically for carbon fiber paddles so don’t use it on Kevlar®, titanium, fiberglass, graphite, or other paddles.” That differs from CRBN’s own Kevlar line above, so check your paddle maker’s care page before using it on a Kevlar face.

The linked listing is the Black 1-Pack, sold by CRBN Pickleball’s own Amazon storefront and shipped by Amazon. CRBN’s page lists “Height: 2 inches”, “Width: 2 inches”, “Depth: 1 inch” and “Net Weight: 1.5 oz”.

Specs (CRBN Paddle Eraser, Black, 1-Pack, the linked listing)

  • Type: rubber eraser
  • Size: 2 in H x 2 in W x 1 in D; weight 1.5 oz (CRBN’s page)
  • Material: proprietary rubber blend; contains latex (maker)
  • Surfaces the maker lists: all carbon fiber faced paddles; any other raw, peel-ply surface including Kevlar (maker); not faces with an aftermarket coating, spray or paint (maker)

Pros

  • A soft-rubber eraser CRBN says suits all carbon fiber faced paddles
  • Pickleheads names it “the best paddle cleaner for carbon fiber paddles”
  • Sold by CRBN’s own Amazon storefront

Cons

  • CRBN and Pickleheads disagree on Kevlar faces
  • CRBN does not recommend it on faces with an aftermarket coating, spray or paint
  • Contains latex, by CRBN’s page

Bear Naked

Spray

Players who want a spray whose maker names Kevlar and fiberglass as well as carbon fiber, and who already have a microfiber towel.

$14.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

An 8 oz spray whose maker says it is safe for carbon fiber, Kevlar, graphite and fiberglass paddles, made in the USA. We found one owner report, and no independent test.

Evidence: No independent test; owner reports. r/Pickleball thread “Paddle Erasers?”: 8 fl oz (the owner links this ASIN).

Bear Naked’s page says: “Our cleaner is safe for ALL types of pickleball paddle materials — including carbon fiber, kevlar, graphite and fiberglass.” It says the cleaner is “Designed and formulated in the USA using green chemistry practices”, and it publishes no ingredient list. Its Amazon listing gives the directions as: “Spray directly on paddle face, wipe clean with microfiber towel”. This listing does not include a towel; Bear Naked sells microfiber cleaning towels on its own site, which we did not find on Amazon.

In the r/Pickleball thread “Paddle Erasers?”, one owner links this listing and writes: “I use this liquid paddle cleaner and a microfiber towel. I feel it is less invasive than a rubber cleaner and the paddle looks almost like new when I finish cleaning it.” A reply disputes the “less invasive” part, calling it that owner’s opinion. The Dink’s paddle-care article also promotes this spray over erasers, but Bear Naked’s own site links to it, so we do not treat it as independent.

The linked listing is the 8 fl oz bottle, sold by Bear Naked Pickleball’s own Amazon storefront and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (Bear Naked Pickleball Paddle Cleaner, 8 fl oz, the linked listing)

  • Type: spray
  • Volume: 8 oz (maker)
  • Material: not published; “green chemistry practices” (maker)
  • Surfaces the maker lists: carbon fiber, Kevlar, graphite and fiberglass (maker)

Pros

  • A spray whose maker lists carbon fiber, Kevlar, graphite and fiberglass
  • Made in the USA, by the maker
  • One owner on r/Pickleball uses it with a microfiber towel

Cons

  • No independent test found; the article that praises it is linked from Bear Naked’s own site
  • No towel in this listing, though the directions call for one
  • No ingredient list published

BSG

Spray with towel

Players who want a spray and a towel in one box; the surfaces it lists are the brand's own claim.

$21.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

An 8 oz spray sold with a microfiber towel, which its listing says is engineered for raw carbon fiber, T700 carbon, graphite, fiberglass and composite paddles. Big Shot Golf has no maker website we could find, so every detail is from its Amazon listing.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: Big Shot Golf’s Amazon listing.

Big Shot Golf’s Amazon listing says the spray is “Engineered for raw carbon fiber, T700 carbon, graphite, fiberglass, and composite paddles” and claims it “Will not damage edge guards, paddle faces, or thermoformed cores”; that is the brand’s claim, not a test. It also says the spray can be used to “Restore tackiness to overgrips, lift dirt from paddle faces, and wipe down dirty pickleballs”. The listing’s details give the contents as “8oz Cleaner, Microfiber Towel” and a 1-year warranty. The linked variant is named “1-Pack (Blue)”, while the same listing’s colour field says Teal. The web address bigshotgolf.com is listed for sale, and we found no pickleball product on the BSG Sports site, so we found no maker page; the retailer Pickleball Nation also stocks a BSG Pickleball Paddle Cleaner.

The linked listing is sold by BSG Sports, the brand’s Amazon storefront, and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (BSG Pickleball Paddle Cleaner, 8 fl oz with microfiber towel, 1-Pack (Blue), the linked listing)

  • Type: spray with a microfiber towel
  • Volume: 8 fl oz (listing)
  • Material: formula not published; towel is microfiber (listing)
  • Surfaces the maker lists: raw carbon fiber, T700 carbon, graphite, fiberglass, composite (listing)

Pros

  • A spray and a microfiber towel in one listing
  • The listing names raw carbon, T700 carbon, graphite, fiberglass and composite faces
  • The listing says it also cleans overgrips and balls

Cons

  • No maker website; every detail is from the Amazon listing
  • No independent test or owner report found
  • The variant name (Blue) and colour field (Teal) differ

Professor

Rubber block

Owners of a raw carbon fiber paddle, on the maker's list or not, who want an entry-tier rubber block.

$9.95 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

A soft rubber block that its maker sells for raw carbon fiber faces and says “Will not work on Fiberglass faced paddles”, with a maker guarantee of at least 1,000 cleans.

Evidence: No independent test; owner reports. r/Pickleball thread “Is this necessary?”: variant not stated.

Professor’s page says: “Our soft rubber block easily removes pickleball residue, dirt, and grime from the surface of any raw carbon fiber pickleball paddle.” It lists the paddles it is made for: “WORKS ON THESE PADDLES: Professor, Joola, Six Zero, CRBN, Vatic, Selkirk, Legacy, SLK, Electrum, Diadem, PROKENNEX, Gearbox, Ronbus and any other Raw carbon fiber faced pickleball paddles. Will not work on Fiberglass faced paddles.” The maker’s site states: “GOOD FOR 1000 CLEANS: Guaranteed to last for at least 1000 cleans or your money back!”; the Amazon listing words it as “Lasts for at least 1000 cleans!” without the money-back line. The maker page gives no size; the listing gives 2 by 2 inches.

The only owner mention we found is in the r/Pickleball thread “Is this necessary?”, where one commenter writes: “I have the Professor eraser OP is referencing.” They do not rate it, but the same commenter also writes in that thread: “Useful on high-grit spinny raw carbon fiber paddles. Unnecessary with kevlar/aramid fiber faces (only need a dry or damp microfiber cloth)”. Other replies question whether a bought eraser is needed at all.

The linked listing is the 1-Pack, sold by Professor Sports on Amazon and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (Professor Pickleball Carbon Cleaner, 1-Pack, the linked listing)

  • Type: rubber block
  • Size: 2 in L x 2 in W (listing); not on the maker’s page
  • Material: soft rubber (maker)
  • Surfaces the maker lists: raw carbon fiber faced paddles; “Will not work on Fiberglass faced paddles” (maker)

Pros

  • A soft rubber block made for raw carbon fiber faces, by the maker
  • The maker’s site guarantees at least 1,000 cleans or your money back
  • The maker names 13 paddle brands it is made for

Cons

  • The maker says it will not work on fiberglass faces
  • The one owner who names it does not rate it, and says elsewhere in the thread that erasers are unnecessary on Kevlar/aramid faces
  • Size only from the listing

Eraser kit

Players who want erasers and a microfiber cloth in one entry-tier kit, and who will check their paddle maker's care words before using an eraser.

$11.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

Two rubber erasers, a soft brush, a lint-free microfiber cloth and a mesh pouch in one listing, for raw carbon fiber, graphite or composite paddles by the listing. CIATLLLAIT has no maker website we could find.

Evidence: No independent test; maker specs. Source: CIATLLLAIT’s Amazon listing.

The Amazon listing says the kit “includes 2 premium rubber erasers, 1 ultra-soft detail brush, 1 lint-free microfiber cloth, and 1 convenient mesh storage pouch”, and calls the erasers “2 heavy-duty vulcanized rubber erasers” for “your raw carbon fiber, graphite, or composite paddle”. It claims the erasers restore the original grit; that is the brand’s claim. Two other sources are narrower about rubber erasers and do not name this kit. The Pickleball Studio newsletter writes: “One warning is you should ONLY use them on raw carbon fiber paddles. Do not use them on paddles with paint grit.” Pickleheads writes of the CRBN eraser: “Note: this is designed specifically for carbon fiber paddles so don’t use it on Kevlar®, titanium, fiberglass, graphite, or other paddles.” The listing’s graphite and composite claim has no counter-source for this kit itself, so check your paddle maker’s care page. It gives no size for the erasers or the cloth.

The linked listing is sold by CIATLLLAIT’s own Amazon storefront and shipped by Amazon.

Specs (CIATLLLAIT 5-in-1 Pickleball Paddle Eraser Kit, model PBE2, the linked listing)

Pros

  • Two erasers, a brush and a microfiber cloth in one kit

  • A mesh pouch keeps the pieces together

Cons

  • No maker website; every detail is from the Amazon listing
  • No size published for the erasers or the cloth
  • No independent test or owner report found
  • The listing’s graphite and composite claim differs from Pickleball Studio, which advises erasers only on raw carbon fiber paddles

Paddle Reset

Spray

Players who want a small spray bottle whose listing names Kevlar faces, and who have a cloth to wipe it off.

$14.99 from AmazonAs of Oct 24, 03:47 UTC

Verdict

A 4 fl oz spray whose listing says it is safe on graphite, carbon fiber, Kevlar and composite paddles and calls itself less abrasive than paddle erasers. The one owner we found who has used both says the erasers do most of the work.

Evidence: No independent test; owner reports. r/Pickleball thread “eraser vs spray”: size not stated (the owner writes “paddle reset”).

The Paddle Reset Amazon listing says: “SAFE FOR ALL PADDLES: Whether your pickleball paddle is made of graphite, carbon fiber, kevlar, composites, or other materials, our cleaner is safe for use on all surfaces.” It also says: “LESS ABRASIVE THAN PADDLE ERASERS: Paddle erasers are tough on paddles and super messy. Paddle RESET is less abrasive, easier to use and more efficient than erasers.” Both are the brand’s claims; CRBN’s listing (review 1) says the opposite, and we found no test that settles it. RESET Pickleball’s own shop, resetpickleball.shop, words the surfaces differently: “RESET is formulated for graphite, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and composite paddle surfaces.” Side by side, the Amazon listing names Kevlar and not fiberglass, and the shop names fiberglass and not Kevlar. The shop’s 4 oz product also includes a cloth: “1x RESET Paddle Cleaner, 4 oz spray bottle and washable microfiber cloth”. The directions are “Spray on paddle, let sit and wipe”. The paddle brands ProXR and Paddletek sell a “Paddle RESET Spray” on their own sites; Paddletek’s page says it comes in a 4 oz bottle.

In the r/Pickleball thread “eraser vs spray”, one owner writes: “I have had both a spray (paddle reset) and erasers for quite a while. The sprays barely do anything. The erasers do 95% of the work. Now I only use the spray once in a while. Overall the sprays over promise and aren’t worth the money.” That is one owner’s view.

The linked listing is the single 4 fl oz bottle, sold on Amazon by a storefront named Knife Pivot Lube and shipped by Amazon. RESET Pickleball’s shop sells a RESET 4 oz cleaner, and the Knife Pivot Lube storefront also sells RESET’s 3X Travel Size on Amazon; no page we read says who owns that storefront.

Specs (Paddle Reset Pickleball Paddle Cleaner, 4 fl oz, the linked listing)

  • Type: spray
  • Volume: 4 fl oz (listing; Paddletek’s page also gives 4 oz)
  • Material: not published
  • Surfaces the maker lists: graphite, carbon fiber, Kevlar, composites “or other materials” (Amazon listing); graphite, carbon fiber, fiberglass, composite (RESET Pickleball’s shop, no Kevlar)

Pros

  • The listing names graphite, carbon fiber, Kevlar and composite faces
  • Spray, let sit and wipe, by the listing’s directions
  • Also sold by the paddle brands ProXR and Paddletek on their sites

Cons

  • The one owner report we found prefers erasers
  • The Amazon listing and RESET Pickleball’s shop list different surfaces (Kevlar versus fiberglass); the Amazon seller is a storefront named Knife Pivot Lube
  • No cloth in this listing

What Paddle Makers Say About Erasers and Sprays

Paddle makers do not give one rule, and no eraser maker in this guide says its eraser suits every face. Here is what each says, in its own words where we could read them.

  • Selkirk. Its care guide says most faces need only water and a lint-free cloth, and: “It’s crucial to avoid using household cleaners as they leave behind a sticky residue on your paddle face.” For raw carbon fiber faces it says to “use a carbon fiber cleaning block”. We did not find Selkirk’s own block on Amazon.
  • Six Zero. Its FAQ recommends the Six Zero Cleaning Rubber and says: “Safe and effective for all Six Zero paddles. Six Zero will take no liability for improper use of cleaning rubbers.” Its cleaning rubber page adds: “Misuse of the cleaning rubber can damage your paddle.” Its warranty page says: “This warranty does not cover damages arising from misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or improper care and cleaning.” The wording has changed: in a February 2024 r/Pickleball thread, a commenter quoted Six Zero’s website as saying “For our Ruby paddle we recommend a damp cloth to clean the face. We DO NOT recommend using a cleaning rubber on the Ruby as it may pull out small Kevlar® tufts.”, and a later reply in the thread quoted the same two sentences with a link to Six Zero’s FAQ page. The second sentence, with a line against painted-grit paddles such as the Sapphire, is still in retailer Picklefox’s copy of Six Zero’s rubber description (undated): “Please DO NOT use Cleaning Rubbers on ‘Painted Grit’ textured paddles such as our Sapphire. We DO NOT recommend using a cleaning rubber on the Ruby as it may pull out small Kevlar® tufts.” Neither line is on the FAQ we read in October 2026.
  • CRBN. Its eraser page allows “any other raw, peel ply surface including kevlar” and advises against faces with an aftermarket coating, spray or paint. Its warranty page says “any modifications to the paddle’s structure or face will void the warranty”; it says nothing about cleaning.
  • Engage. Its raw carbon cleaner page says the cleaner “is designed for use with Engage Pursuit Pro, Pursuit V2.0, and Aero paddles. A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is recommended for all other Engage paddles.”
  • Onix. Its paddle eraser page sells the eraser for its Evoke Premier Raw Carbon paddles.
  • Painted grit. The Pickleball Studio newsletter warns: “One warning is you should ONLY use them on raw carbon fiber paddles. Do not use them on paddles with paint grit.” and “If you use it on a paint grit paddle, you will very likely erase the grit from the paddle.”

The spray makers in this guide (Bear Naked, Paddle Reset, Lifestyle Basics, BSG and PickleClean) each say their spray suits a wide range of faces; those are their claims, and we found no independent test of any of them. Where your paddle maker’s own care page names a cleaner or rules one out, follow it over any cleaner’s label.

What to Look For in a Pickleball Paddle Cleaner

  • Your paddle’s face first. Raw carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, graphite and painted-grit faces are treated differently by different makers (see the section above). The best carbon pickleball paddle guide covers what a raw carbon face is.
  • Eraser or spray. Makers disagree: CRBN’s listing says its eraser “Works far better than any liquid or towel cleaning solution”, while Paddle Reset’s listing calls erasers “tough on paddles” and itself “less abrasive”. Owners on r/Pickleball are split the same way. Neither claim rests on a test we could find.
  • A cloth. Every spray here is wiped off with a cloth. Of the sprays, the BSG listing includes a microfiber towel; of the erasers, the CIATLLLAIT kit includes a microfiber cloth.
  • Worn faces. The makers sell these cleaners to take buildup out of the face’s texture. For a face whose texture has worn down, our guide to regritting a pickleball paddle sets out what makers say, and how long a pickleball paddle can last covers wear.
  • Storage. Selkirk’s care guide suggests a paddle cover against scratches; see our pickleball paddle covers guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Which is better, a paddle eraser or a spray?

The sources disagree. CRBN’s listing says its eraser works far better than any liquid; Paddle Reset’s listing says its spray is less abrasive and more efficient than erasers. One r/Pickleball owner who uses both says the erasers do “95% of the work”; another owner prefers the Bear Naked spray as “less invasive”. We found no test that compares them, so start from your paddle maker’s care page.

Q. Do paddle erasers wear down the grit?

The one measured test we found is short. The Pickleball Studio newsletter reports rubbing an eraser on one area of a raw carbon paddle for about 10 minutes and writes: “By the end, there was no change in visual or the Starrett meter.” It concludes, “So, I would say they are safe to use,” though the same post opens with “If you want the short version, the answer is, probably not.” It also warns that on a painted-grit paddle an eraser “will very likely erase the grit”. We found no long-term test.

Q. Can I use an eraser on a Kevlar, titanium or painted-grit paddle?

It depends on the maker. CRBN says its eraser can be used on raw peel-ply faces including Kevlar; Pickleheads says not to use the CRBN eraser on Kevlar, titanium, fiberglass or graphite. Six Zero today says its rubber is safe for all Six Zero paddles, while in 2024 commenters on r/Pickleball quoted Six Zero’s website and FAQ page as advising against a rubber on the Kevlar Ruby, and retailer Picklefox’s undated copy of Six Zero’s rubber description still says so. The Pickleball Studio newsletter says not to use erasers on painted grit. Check your own paddle maker’s care page.

Q. Can I use Windex or household cleaners on my paddle?

Selkirk’s care guide says: “It’s crucial to avoid using household cleaners as they leave behind a sticky residue on your paddle face.” Six Zero’s warranty excludes damage from “improper care and cleaning”. We found no paddle maker that recommends a glass cleaner.

Q. Is it okay to use wet wipes on a pickleball paddle?

We found no paddle maker statement on wet wipes. Selkirk’s care guide names water and a lint-free cloth for most paddle faces.

Q. Is a sanding-belt cleaning block the same as a paddle eraser?

Several r/Pickleball owners say they cut up a sanding-belt cleaning block and use it as a paddle eraser. We found no maker statement or test that compares the two materials, so we do not treat them as the same.

Q. Do I need a microfiber cloth?

The spray makers here say to wipe the spray off with a cloth (Bear Naked names a microfiber towel), and the BSG listing includes one. Owners disagree on microfiber for raw carbon: one says it catches on a gritty raw carbon face, and another says they were told not to use it on a full carbon paddle, while others use a damp microfiber cloth. Selkirk names a lint-free cloth.

Q. Does cleaning bring back spin?

Several makers here say so: Professor says removing residue “brings back more ball spin”, and Paddle Reset’s listing claims “more spin, more control”. We found no independent spin test of any cleaner in this guide. If you are choosing a paddle rather than a cleaner, see our best pickleball paddles and budget pickleball paddles guides.

The bottom line

Final Verdict

For a raw carbon fiber face, the CRBN Paddle Eraser (check price) is the one pick here an independent reviewer links by this listing, with the caveat that CRBN and Pickleheads disagree on Kevlar; the Professor Pickleball Carbon Cleaner (check price) is an entry-tier block whose maker rules out fiberglass, and the CIATLLLAIT 5-in-1 Eraser Kit (check price) adds a brush and a microfiber cloth. For a spray, the Bear Naked Paddle Cleaner (check price) names Kevlar and fiberglass on its maker’s page, the BSG Paddle Cleaner with Towel (check price) comes with a towel, the Paddle Reset Cleaner (check price) is the 4 oz option (the one owner we found who used both preferred erasers), the Lifestyle Basics Paddle Cleaner (check price) names plastic faces, and the PickleClean Paddle Cleaner Spray (check price) is the compact entry-tier bottle. Every surface list here is the maker’s own claim, so check it against your paddle maker’s care page before you buy.
